In Hong Kong, Sotheby's just sold the most expensive wine in an auction.

Three bottles of Châteaux Lafite-Rothschild 1869 were sold for a whooping $232,692 a bottle — setting the record for the most expensive bottle of wine ever sold at an auction.

Robert Frank of WSJ Blogs calculated: At $232,692 a bottle, the Lafite 1869 works out to about $29,000 a glass, or more than $2,000 a sip.

Do you think that price is worth it? The Châteaux Lafite-Rothschild 1869 is considered a vintage wine. But even if you have that kind of money, buying such a wine for $232,692 cannot even be called an investment. I hope the buyer opens the cork and takes a sip and tell the world how was it, don't you think?
